‘No-one ever looks at the suits’
I’m not exactly sure of the hierarchy of award shows, I’m guessing the Golden Globes are big, but they sure aren’t the Oscars. I only say this because there weren’t as many ‘stars’ on the red carpet – a lot of the talent was young and relatively new to the industry. In any event, it was the best feeling in the world staying up till 3am in the morning, giving my unsolicited opinion on the outfits of the people fortunate enough to attend.
I’ve got to start this post off by congratulating the winners of each category. Tracee Ellis Ross & Donald Glover gave very heartfelt speeches when they won – not to ignore the rest, but I’m a fan of both their shows.
“This is for all of the women, women of color and colorful people, whose stories, ideas, thoughts are not always considered worthy, and valid and important,” Ms. Ross said. “But I want you to know that I see you. We see you.” – Tracee Ellis Ross
On the red carpet, I’ve got to say there were a couple of clear winners.

I’m also going to throw in a couple of suits, because we never talk about men’s fashion on the red carpet.

On the other hand, there were a couple of fails. I don’t even blame the actors, I blame the brands – Louis Vuitton and Gucci. They have no business making red carpet looks to be honest, and I’m tired of them taking good and stylish people down with them.

This design is wicked! You definitely know how to keep a reader amused.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!)
Wonderful job. I really loved what you had to say, and
more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
