Sophie Zinga was one of the brands to feature its collection at Lagos Fashion & Design week in 2015 – i.e. the last time I was there. I’ve always been a fan, in fact I raved about them about in my LFDW Day 1 recap.
Well, it turns out they have a new lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2017 collection. I’ve got to say that it was aptly titled ‘Hibiscus’, just look at the fabric! The imagery of the lookbook itself is stunning, I adore it. Also, peep that Senegalese architecture.
According to Bella Naija, the label’s creative director was inspired by the impact the flower – the hibiscus – has had in Senegal and its surrounding countries.
I wonder what that impact is.
