Ladunni Lambo presents its debut collection, ’A Wife For Nana’, inspired by the Itsekiri tribe, Western and Nigerian 1920’s fashion. Based on a young bride’s struggle between obedience and rebellion, her life of being just another wife to an affluent chief destabilizes her desire to want more in life.
Ladunni debuted this collection at Lagos Fashion & Design Week last year. I wasn’t able to see these pieces in person, however, I was particularly drawn to the unique pleating on the skirts. If you’re a woman who loves to stand out in a room, this brand will definitely help you do that. However, please don’t pair it with black lipstick because that’s just bringing negative energy.
